It was a breakfast spot not too long ago. Ever since I had Halal Guys in Northern Va. I’ve been looking for a good bowl. I got the lamb and chicken bowl from here and was pleasantly surprised. I’ve have a couple others in the area and they were a letdown. The chicken was perfectly seasoned and the lamb was delicious. With fresh veggies and rice and you can’t forget that white sauce. I also got a side of hot sauce and it added a nice kick. If you’re not a spicy person stay away from the hot sauce because it’ll make sure you’re awake. You’ll definitely get your money’s worth. Freshness and packaging
The food was hot and fresh and packaged very well, which I can appreciate.
Taste
The food had ok flavor but not nearly as good as other Indian resturabts I have tried. I ordered the Chicken Tikka Masala and the Garlic Naan and there was no option to select the spice level for the Chicken Tikka Masala. I think this contributed to the sweetness (im assuming it was made with coconut cream) showing through in the dish Chicken Tikka Masala isnt intended to be sweet. If the resturant could add in the option for mild medium, hot etc, that would give dish the correct balance of flavors.
Price
Both dishes Chicken Tikka Masala and the Garlic Naan were priced competitively with other resturants at $18 and $6, respectively. However, the size of the Chicken Tikka Masala was comparable to a lunch sized portion and is noticebly smaller than other local restaurants. Thus for that reason, I would consider this a bit overpriced.
Overall
Despite some issues with the spice level, flavor profile and portion size, I would consider eating from here again. "
