"Kao Piak Sen was just a bit salty for me but good nonetheless. Chili oil that came with is not as spicy but it does give a bit of kick. They gave such a generous amount of meat and extra broth on the side so thats a double plus. "Lao Der is not shy when it comes to heat. When you ask for extra spicy, it's actually spicy. I don't know how much I can stress that, all places I go when I ask for extra spicy, it is never satisfying. Although it can get pricey (sticky rice, khao soy), this is my to go place when I want raw beef laab (Beef Tartare). I absolutely love the bamboo soup, although I had better. It is so rare to find, so this is actually perfect when you're too lazy to make it. oh, did I forget the chicken feet! Would love it even more if it is mixed with papaya sauce instead. Would be nice to have some shrimp paste and fresh chili with kao poon, kao piak, or any type of noodle dish."
"The portions are ridiculously small. The sticky rice was $5 and the tri-tip was $17. The sticky rice was about the size of my palm (I'm fairly petite-5 feet) so hopefully that explains how small the portion of sticky rice we got. The tri-tip was okay. Marinated well but a bit tough to chew as it was overcooked. I'll just stick to getting the Kaopoon from here but probably nothing else moving forward."

"It tastes good but I ordered zero spice mild and it was extremely spicy. I could hardly eat much because the taste was too spicy so I had to eat a little at a time.
Warming it up again is not fun to do when you're hungry. My guess is since it was near closing time they didn't want to cook new meat.
I won't be ordering it again. The portions were just okay for a $31 order."

The noodles on the chow mein weren't dry at all but were bouncy and very saucey in the best way.
