"I decided to pick up my order since I had some free time, so I entered the address into my GPS. It led me to what looked like a private residence with a gate, which made me unsure if I was in the right place. I drove past it at first, but after rerouting, the GPS brought me back to the same spot. I called the number listed, and someone answered and told me they would open the gate. It made me a little nervous, but I had already paid, so I went in.
The guy who brought my food out was friendly and polite, which I appreciated. Everything looked okay in the bag, so I drove home.
When I opened my plate, it looked decent and fresh but the taste was disappointing. The collard greens were not good— I have definitely had better. The creamed corn tasted more like canned corn with a little spice; it wasn’t creamy at all. The chicken was the highlight—just three legs, and it was well seasoned and cooked nicely. The portions are decent.
Then came the peach cobbler, which was promoted as a “new item” on DoorDash. Unfortunately, it looked like cold, soggy baby food. I didn't even eat it! I really wish I could get my money back for that.
I want to support small businesses, and the service was kind, but based on this experience, I don’t see myself ordering again."
