• 6/30/26I don't know who was back there in that kitchen... but somebody's grandma, great-grandma, and ancestors all clocked in OKAY. 😂
I ordered a turkey leg, collard greens, macaroni and cheese, and some peppered calamari...
Baby...
That first bite transported me to another dimension. I wasn't even in the restaurant anymore. I was somewhere floating between heaven, Sunday dinner, and a family reunion that never had any drama. 🤣
The turkey leg was so tender it practically apologized for falling off the bone. The collard greens tasted like they had been simmering since last Tuesday with nothing but love and patience. The mac and cheese? If comfort had a driver's license, that mac would be the photo. And that peppered calamari came in acting like it owned the place—and honestly, it earned that confidence.
My taste buds are currently writing thank-you letters.
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 15/10. Would absolutely risk unbuttoning my jeans again.

• 3/13/251942 Caesar Salad* is decent. Salmon was 10/10... but the salad itself was wilted and small. It was basically a side salad. So seeing as how, I ordered the salad and added the Salmon, I'm glad I did.
In the picture, I just moved the Salmon to dress the salad.

• 2/13/26I love 1942 on the square and this was my first time trying grouper. This was so goooooood omg, my only complaint is that I wish the greens were packaged separately the juices did spill over to the fish making the bottom piece softer than the top one. This did not impact the overall flavor. Consistency is always there with 1942 I will order again per usual.
