I ordered the Mongolian beef but think I got the bee broccoli? I don't know. Maybe they have a different recipe here than I'm used to. Any case the ingredients and flavors were good. Hot & sour soup arrived steaming hot and was super tasty once it cooled down.

the kung pao chicken is excellent!
the shrimp chow mein is a little too bland, but the portion is generous. Both are reasonably priced.

The food was terrible. Nothing seemed right. The soups were ok, however the wonton soup was a little oily. The Mongolian Beef tasted like it was chicken, and terribly cooked chicken at that. They get one star because the egg drop soup was acceptable, it could have used some salt though.

The food is pretty good, not truly outstanding. The delivery portions are fair and likewise the prices. I've eaten at the restaurant a few times over the years, but I've had food delivered lately more often. The menu is kind of limited, but then I don't eat pork and most seafood. I give Hunan Cafe four stars - I'm expansive tonight while I await the delivery of hot and sour soup and chicken chow mein.

I usually enjoy what I order from Hunan Cafe. I liked the egg drop soup to which I added fresh peas which I bought this morning at the WeHo Farmers Market. Very good. The General Tao's chicken was okay. I've had better and I've had worse.
The Hunan fried rice is a no great shakes kind of dish. I don't see the point of it. I wouldn't order it again.
