Mukasi is the home of authentic west African cuisine brought to you by experienced cooks from Ghana. We serve variety of cuisines such as Jollof, Waakye, Banku, and etc.
I have been ordering from Mukasi since they opened and I have not been disappointed. I have especially enjoyed their jollof, banku and okra; and have even used them for catering a party. Delicious meals and professional service- I'm a happy customer!

The flavors of the Ghanaian cuisine here are unparalleled. The plantains were crispy on the outside and melt-in-your-mouth sweet on the inside. Their jollof rice and waakye dish is also a must have. I can't wait to explore more of their menu.

The banku (cassava corn mixture) was lumpy which means they didn't cook it long enough to smooth out the powder. The okra had fish. I would not have ordered okra if I knew it had fish in it. They should clearly say it has fish and/or make two versions one with fish and the other without. The description mentions beef not fish. This is Ghanian food but they also sold Puff Puff which is a Nigerian sweet. I wanted to like the okra because it reminded me of ogbono soup but the fish took away from the dish. The jollof is alright but I wouldn't pay the premium of DD to eat it again. The Poolo (Coconut Biscuit) reminds me of chin chin. It was the best thing I tried. Overall this was my first time trying Ghanian food. I've had Nigerian, Senegalese, Cameroonian, Ethiopian, and Somalian food and this was the first time I was disappointed with the food. On a positive note the packaging of the food was intentional, nothing poured out during the commute to me. I spent 56 on this meal and ordered 4 things, only one thing actually hit the spot for me.

Good service and even better people making the food. I got jollof, salad and beef! Also a side of fried plantains. It was DELICIOUS !!!! So glad to FINALLY have a Ghanaian restaurant in the bay. Looking forward trying other dishes.

Best Ghanaian food in the Bay Area! The jollof comes with very flavorful stewed beef and perfectly fried plantains. Will definitely be back for more.
