I have been a loyal customer for decades. So of course I got the Beef Dip w/ au jus. They do make the best! Yummy Kosher pickles on the side. I tried for the first time Corn Chowder, Stew , Chili and Cherry Pie. They were all delicious. Highly recommend!

Worst (tiny) Pastrami I ever had!!! Very little pastrami they give you mustard packets and if you want pickles they're extra!!! What's the big deal about this overrated place!!! Can I pick zero Stars!!! The price for this sandwich should be $5 and placed in a vending machine or 7/11!!! Cake had no flavor

The Beef Dip is always superb. I always get the au jus on the side, even though they recommend double dipping your sandwich in it. The au jus and that hot French mustard ... MWAHHHH!!! The two together absolutely make the sandwich. You can also definitely "come to the cookout" whenever you want beause your potato salad is some of the best I've ever had. PHILIPPE has been in business for as long as it has for a reason ... QUALITY.

I ordered the Stew again. It's actually a very hearty Beef Vegetable Soup and I can use the left over broth as au jus. I tried both the Ham and Turkey Dips for the 1st time getting both double dipped. I prefer the au jus on the side. I bought a Jar of Hot Jar of Hot Mustard because I love the horseradish heat. The Brownie arrived warm and moist. Tried the Blueberry Slice of Pie . The crusts on their pies are incredibly light and flaky. Allowing the fruits to shine. The Cream of Broccoli Daily Soup 2 was really good, but not as hearty as their Corn Chowder.

Love Philippe's!! Their sandwiches are the best! The pork is our favorite, but all the meats are really good and made in-house. Potato salad and coleslaw are also favorites!! Chili beans and stew are so, so good. Pies are yummy too, especially the peach, but the pineapple is another favorite and so hard to find in the city. Been coming here since I was young and highly recommend!!
