"I got the Greek Salad which was great and a sizeable portion for a good price. Also got a build your own one topping which was good as well. "
"It was a late evening and the family had gotten in from a late evening of activities. Everyone was craving Pizza and so I ordered Marco's. Recent advertisements made a promising appeal, versus tried and true local shops that were also available and so we gave it a shot.
Ordered the Steak and Cheese sub, which came extremely soggy and while it had a decent amount of meat on it it was lacking in cheese and enjoyability, as it was so soggy from grease, moisture from the steak and BBQ sauce, that it began to fall apart and the texture was anything but appetizing.
The family size Garden salad, was loaded with more than enough red onion and while it was a nice option to add or remove toppings, the amount of greens on the salad was so under served, that being charged $16 for the equivalent of an $8 salad, at any other restaurant was off putting. Also, we requested Italian dressing and received "Fat-Free" Italian, which is much higher in sugar, to offset the loss of flavor from fats."

Steak Sub had a lot of meat on it but it ultimately ended up having a lot of hard pieces of fat that wasn't edible. the bread was almost burnt, it was well beyond toasted.

I opted for breaded chicken on my pasta which was equivalent to Tyson chicken tenders. For something that was over $15 I expected to get a really good baked pasta."

"The extra Jameson Glaze wasn't delivered with the order. Though from the glaze on the Brussels sprouts, I'll say that it is very good. The coleslaw was WAY to bitter/peppery for my taste. I could only eat a bite. The portion of shrimp in the Shrimp Dinner was majorly disappointing for the price and they would have been much better had the Jameson Glaze been included as ordered. The BYO Burger was actually very tasty and very filling. A bit on the pricey side, but the patty was properly cooked, flavorful and the perfect amount. The side variety of free toppings is a plus as well. We ordered a side of loaded waffle fries with the burger, and they were mediocre. The fries themselves were soggy rather than crispy and the cheese was "straight from a can" nacho sauce. All in all, the food from Johnny J's was as underwhelming as it was brag worthy. 3 stars for food and taste. 2 stars for value."
