"The apple pie had some real highlights. The apple slices were thin, tender, and packed with flavor. The crumble topping was excellent, with just the right amount of cinnamon and sweetness.
The only thing that missed the mark for me was the crust. Instead of the flaky texture I expected, it was thick and had a more bread-like consistency. It wasn’t bad, just different than what I look for in a pie crust.
