"I have been hooked on boba tea since I first tasted it while living in South Carolina( I know, of all places...). When we moved back to Ohio, I couldn't find it anywhere and was jonesing for boba tea for years. Now, I can get it at several different places!
My personal favorite is Pearl Tea. I really like Pearl Tea's boba tea, it's a perfect blend of ingredients.
I especially appreciate the options Pearl gives the customer: I can ask for less ice, and make my tea less sweet. That was my only criticism of boba tea in general, it could be too sweet.
Having the option of less sweet allows me to enjoy my treat AND have a bit less guilt! Plus, I think boba tea is better less sweet.

I have one suggestion: make your straws optional. I almost always have an extra straw or (ten) lying around my kitchen and it seems not only wasteful that I get more straws with every order, but it's also not good for the environment . This time I also ordered the Apple Strudel which looks amazing in the picture. Mine was haphazardly tossed into a box. Bits of it tasted like garlic. Other bits of it had a sauerkraut flavor. The texture of pastry isn't flaky at all. It was like when you let an ice cream cone soak up the ice cream. Soggy and had an eggy quality. There wasn't any powdered sugar, but that could be because the filling that was flopped on top of it dissolved the sugar. The white chocolate sauce is also disgusting. Not actual white chocolate, more an artificially flavored white chocolate icing. I can eat about anything even if its not as good as I had hoped. I threw the whole thing away.
Overall disappointing. This isn't what I remember from less than a year ago when I was raving about this place and even chose it as my birthday dinner. Maybe it was two flukes... but it feels more like what happened with Melt. High priced, low quality food built on the back of a bait and switch. And we all know what happened to Melt. "
