"First time trying Sals, I like the NY theme and they get points for having Black and white cookies but for the price the pizza was not good enough even from a Southern California perspective ( not known for our pizza, good spots aren't that common). My Dads side of the family is from Bronx/yonkers so I grew up visiting there and Jersey and also scouting out the good local places in SD and OC. The biggest issue was the crust, I ordered well done and got undercooked floppy pizza, crust didn't have much of a taste either. Wasn't much sauce on it so didn't really notice what it tasted like it was so subtle. Cheese was good quality though and tasty. "

"Pizza arrived relatively quickly but was somehow ice cold. Pizza quality was terrible -- we ordered extra cheese and it had less cheese than a cheap grocery-store frozen pizza. Topping on one half was fresh basil; maybe 8 leaves to top half an 18" pizza. We've been customers a long time here but the last several pizzas have been pretty bad. Time to find a new pizza place!"

"Ordered delivery and was really impressed! The mac and cheese arrived hot and was absolutely delicious—super creamy and flavorful. The Mexican street corn is a must-try—perfectly seasoned and a standout dish. The portion sizes for both the mac and corn were generous, definitely worth it.
The only downside was the bread that came with the meal—it’s often a bit burned, though that might be intentional to add a smoky flavor to the corn. Also, the food container could use an upgrade; the corn kernels tend to get stuck in the slots on the side, which makes it a little tricky to eat.
The Shirley Temple was also great—sweet, refreshing, and just the right touch to round out the meal.
Overall, a great experience and I’ll definitely be ordering again!"
