"I passed this place for years. I thought it was a closed business. None of my coworkers go there. No one I know, talks about it. It popped up on my dashapp. I have tried several other local restaurants. I needed one question answered. "How is the red sauce?" It is fire. Hot but not too hot. It pairs perfectly with their Burrito Asada. To be fair, I ordered just before close. Despite the last minute prep. It was perfectly seasoned and cooked to perfection. packaged with care. My only notes are More salt on the chips and a bit more heat in the red sauce or less tomato. It was pleasing to look at, smelled amazing, and I wanted another, not because it was not filling. The portion was a bit much for me but the flavors were so amazing I could not get enough."
"Tortilla Soup was not what I expected. Typically tortilla soup is much more hearty, with chicken, black beans, corn, etc. This was just broth with some cubed queso fresco, tortilla strips, and cubed avocado. Not as I expected. It's probably my fault for not reading before ordering. That said, the flavor of the broth was excellent, and I would totally recommend for someone who wants a light, healthy, fresh tasting soup. I added some cilantro I had in the fridge, which I think they should have included with a soup like this.
Aguachile is always the bomb (better than at Tacos Nayarit). If you like shrimp ceviche, you will love their aguachile. I don't know how you would eat it without adding tortilla chips. Sliced avocado makes it even better. I think they should pack it in a plastic soup container instead of an entree container. It's raw whole shrimp. I want it completely soaking in the lime juice when I get it so Im sure it's safe to eat, and so I have a bunch of that delicious sauce."
