"I read the reviews which were more about food missing from orders and less about the actual food. I havent eaten Red Lobster since prob 2001 and was very pleasantly surprised. I got the shrimp Seaside Shrimp Trio which came with garlic shrimp, fried shrimp and shrimp linguini alfredo. I picked a baked potato and steamed broccoli as the sides. "This review is long overdue. We used to order from Papa Juan’s all the time. It was our go to spot for local Mexican food. I decided to order again today because I was craving their shrimp ceviche, but sadly the experience did not live up to what it once was.
The ceviche used to be packed with shrimp and flavor. Now it feels like it is mostly cucumbers and onions, likely just to fill the container. The overall presentation of the food felt careless and bland.
On top of that, their packaging has not adapted to today’s delivery standards. There was no tamper evident seal, just a plastic bag loosely tied at the top. When ordering through a service like DoorDash, I expect the restaurant to take food safety and presentation seriously.
Papa Juan’s used to be a standout, but sadly it no longer feels worth it.

"The food is AMAZING. This is my 2nd time ordering in a row. I first had the grits eggs and bacon with their homemade sausage. It was phenomenal. Today I had the roast beef and it was well seasoned and tender. Very delicious. My only complaint is the onions weren't cooked long enough. "We've gone to Marmalade for many years and ordered via DoorDash quite a bit since the pandemic. It's changed so much. The decor (Sherman Oaks) went from warm french country cozy to white and drab inside and out. Our main complaint is the Chicken Piccata which we ordered 4 dinners a few weeks ago and it was almost inedible. So tart from too much lemon and the chicken was dry, the pasta portion was half what it used to be. The included salad was also so vinegary and sharp, no one ate it .
I never write reviews like this and it makes me sad because it used to be one of our favorite places but the last 3 or 4 times we've either gone there or ordered out, service was poor and food was not up to its old standard. Come back Marmalde. "
