"Today I feel like God heard my prayer~ when I discovered Ahura on DoorDash.
I had been running around with a million things todo, so takeout made the most since.
I have been praying that I might have a Persian restaurant near by. Even a little one, because I am always craving and the drive to Sandy Springs is an hour for me :(.
I ordered my favorites, and even added the Persian mashed potatoes just to try something new.
I went home and opened the bag and caught wiff of the smell and I thought~
Oooooo this is going to be good :)
Then I opened the box and I found my skewers are huge ! (Im convinced!)
Even my little gremlin came down to try and bully me out of dinner.
I feel that the only thing that could have made my dinner better was some Persian Ice cream to seal the deal ;) ~

The Goat / Lamb Curry (I chose all lamb-mild) with basmati rice was tender and very flavorful. It's a true mild and I wont be afraid to kick up the spice next time.
Garlic Naan was heavenly and I could taste the fresh garlic
Gulab Jamun was sweet and perfectly soaked through with syrup.
Vegetarian Platter -The samosas were spicy and delicious. The filling is softer, like mashed potatoes. I got extra samosas in lieu of the platter (Im assuming because I ordered close to closing time) and am not complaining one bit. The Tamarind Chutney was sweet and super yummy with the samosas, as was the Raita and Mint Chutney

"This place is insanely good! I doordashed some CHICKEN TIKKA MASALA, SAMOSA(2), and GARLIC NAAN. It arrived quick and it was very well packaged to prevent spilling. Everything was hot enough to need to blow and once I started, I just couldn't stop! SERIOUSLY! It was a real problem. I just kept gobbling down mouthful after mouthful with flavors exploding in my mouth each time. People were staring and I just didn't care! I just kept going and going! I have a high spice tolerance, so I ordered the extra spicy, and I was not disappointed. It was a nice spice that slightly built, but was never overbearing. Just enough to keep your forehead and upper lip slightly damp. I must warn, the portions are generous and extremely filling. I would highly recommend not eating all of it at once.
