"I don't normally post negative reviews especially for restaurants I once loved but the amount of money I spend to be so disappointed is an issue I hope they correct moving forward. It's hit or miss whether your favorite is going to come as promised or a fast cheap careless version of it. As you can see in the photos the birria tacos' tortillas are not fried enough and are falling apart. They used to have larger packaging and put the rice and beans in a separate container but now it's all packed tight in there and there's way too much moisture and humidity so even well fried shells would likely have a problem. I paid $4 for sour cream in a 2 inch little circular container that gets skinnier as it goes down. Same for side of salsa verde or any side sauce you might order it seems. A sour cream this size just a couple months ago would have been max $2. The rice and beans portion is smaller. I got a total of 4 radishes for my 3 tacos. The coke cans I ordered were barely cold. I live about 5-10 minutes from the place everything should have been hot or cold - It wasn't. I don't make a lot of money this was a treat myself night while I'm not feeling good with heart failure and a bunch of other stuff going wrong. Though I've tried many of their dishes over the years, I always come back to the Pad Thai Country Style (doesn't matter what protein you get; my favorites are tofu and shrimp). The Seafood Madness is phenomenal, Crazy Noodles are quite good, and the Thai Custard with Sticky Rice is hands down the best dessert I've had at any restaurant anywhere EVER. I was in withdrawal from that dessert for the time that Shallot had closed and had even tried to make it myself (that did not work out very well).
