"I love Bolay and was about to order a bowl, but $18 for some kale, sweet potato and lemon chicken was over the top. Bricks & Bowls came up in the recommended and I started looking through the menu. The base price for a bowl was $12 so I figured that adding toppings would bring the price to like $20. The options list is insane! I got my kale, some quinea, roasted veggies, grilled chicken, beets (one of my favorites), cucumber, sweet potato (to die over), edamame, and big clumps of fresh mozzarella - all included in the $12 price!!! I wasn't sure how the I selected a vinegar dressing and hoped for the best. Oh my dear Lord. It was the best thing I've eaten in so long. Packed! The bowl is (was) packed! The first time I ordered from here, I had COVID and although vaccinated, was feeling extremely ill. I swear the curry chicken and ginger beer expedited my recovery. The spicy curry makes you feel healthy & the ginger beer (missing from DoorDash menu) helped a lot too. Its going to be my go-to meal whenever im sick.
I ordered again because they were out of the jerk chicken last time. The curry and jerk chicken are equally delicious, but very different. Jerk chicken is sweet and savory. Their jerk sauce is super delicious. The curry chicken is spicy. Bones in both so be carful :P
There's a generous portion of food. The mac was a little small for the price but overall, their prices are fantastic. And the mac is not bland.
