Why 3 stars? I was hungry for a simple waffle with butter, but these were essentially waffle-shaped glazed donuts, very sweet and semi-greasy. The eggs (only option fried) had a synthetic, uniform taste and slick texture, and were also oddly sweet. Maybe from contact with the wafflenuts...donaffles?

"I'm not gonna lie, I was nervous about the Ice Cream Sandwich Two Pack (Cookie Monster) bc I have had Kates a couple times in the past and wasn't a huge fan of the ice cream. But WOW, this ice cream sandwich was absolutely delicious. It was the perfect amount, and it was well frozen so delivery was no issue. We actually had to let it sit for a bit to thaw, which you really must do for the best cookie and ice cream experience. I will be trying some other items from them bc I've been a hater unnecessarily. Also the ice cream was blue which is objectively fun.

"I ordered just a few miites before they stopped accepting orders. It came way quicker than anticipated and the portion was huge! Definitely worth the price. The kalua was tender and just the right amount of smokey and the shoyu chicken was soft and well flavored.
The mac salad was a litte runny for my personal preference, though it did taste good. The extra sauce they included was a nice touch!

"Was wanting to try a place with amazing islander/asian food and this spot absolutely had hit! Portions were huge I wouldn't have done a second scoop of mac if I knew they weren't stingy! Flavor profile of the mac salad was balanced. Everything was 100% fresh. The lumpia is great but you definitely want it when its fresh out the fryer and not waiting for pickup. Will be coming back!"

"Tried the gluten free Birthday Cake ice cream and it was so bland. The cake wasn't really sweet and there was very little ice cream in the container. Normally I love an ice cream that has a high ratio of add-ins but this was like they almost forgot the ice cream.! And since the cake was so bland .. it was truly tasteless."
