"If pastries are your thing, La Madeleine genuinely delivers. Their Nutella muffins are sooo tasty and some of the most consistently good baked goods I’ve found. The flavor is almost always there--I’ve only ever had one pastry box of them that was off. The croissant dough is really solid too, and so naturally the ham and cheese croissant shows that off well. I’ve also gotten the tarte au citron for my partner, who is a serious lemon lover, and it’s been a hit every time.
But outside of the pastry case, I’ve been disappointed more times than I can excuse at this point. I’ve tried the Croque Monsieur with the broccoli cheddar and country potato soups, and the lemonade, none of which really impressed me. I also ordered a frosted sugar cookie that came with none at all (listing even noted that frosting color varies by location, so clearly it’s supposed to come frosted).
I keep giving it another shot hoping something will surprise me, but at this point I think their strength is very clearly in the baked goods. And if you’re ordering anything beyond pastries like drinks, hot food, or even expecting your order to come out right, just go in knowing it might not meet expectations."

Sandwiches filled with fresh cut meat, cheese, veggies in a crunchy crusted cheesy chimney cake but you have other choices for bread flavors. For dessert dont skip on the chimneys either, my favorites are cinnamon, walnut and vanila so far , so you definetly wont go wrong with others either. If you like desserts on a sweeter side, you might wanna choose the ones with heavyer dressings like coconut or cannoli type. Dont forget ur milkshake either. "
"I had my first sandwich at Twisted! It will not be my last. My biggest complaint with most sandwiches-huge, big, dense bread. These twisted sandwiches are placed in a chimney thin flavorful bread that I am just obsessed with. I got a ham and cheese. It was INCREDIBLE. The toppings were fresh-like they were prep'd to order. It was HUGE-I had 1/2 for lunch and saved the othe 1/2 for a snack. I will never go back to other competing sandwich shops. The taste, freshness and quality are just UNMATCHED. I am just sad that I JUST discoverd this GEM in Herndon!! 4 YUMMMMS UP!!"

I specifically had the lemon cupcake. The smooth rich subtle lemon frosting that wasnt overly sweet - which I prefer. The cake was airy with a lemon filling that had a really nice lemon punch to it. The macarons were light with a nice frimness and flavor. I could eat them like chips if I had to money for it.
I also wanted to note the great customer service! I have a peanut and treenut allergy and they called me after ordering on DoorDash to confirm the macarons order because they're made with almond flour- luckily im not reactive to almonds but it was so sweet that they took the time to address this.
