"This was my first time trying this place, and unfortunately I was pretty disappointed. The chicken wasn’t tender or flaky and didn’t taste very fresh. Compared to Cane’s, where the chicken usually tastes fresh and flaky and the bread is consistently soft and good, this just didn’t come close. Even Layne’s, which has a similar style and offers spicier chicken and different sauces, has much more flavor. The Slim Sauce here tasted almost like marinara sauce to me, which I personally didn’t enjoy. The fries and bread also tasted old and stale, like they had been sitting out for a while. I really wanted to like it, especially since it was my first time, but overall the freshness, flavor, and quality were disappointing."
