Compared to Cane’s, where the chicken usually tastes fresh and flaky and the bread is consistently soft and good, this just didn’t come close. Even Layne’s, which has a similar style and offers spicier chicken and different sauces, has much more flavor. The Slim Sauce here tasted almost like marinara sauce to me, which I personally didn’t enjoy. The fries and bread also tasted old and stale, like they had been sitting out for a while.
