(In other words, this is apparently not one of those places that just throws salad on the menu as an afterthought.) The beef kebab consisted of ground beef with lots of herbs and onion and it was juicy and packed with flavor. The chicken was grilled to perfection and marinated with a saffron seasoning. Impressively, it was also juicy and not at all dry.
The platter came with a generous portion of saffron rice. The adas rice was rice cooked with lentils and a couple raisins (I think). The adas rice was savory with a bit of a tangy sweet touch. With the lentils, it had a softer consistency than the saffron rice, which had more bite to it. Both were terrific and great even on their own, without the meat. The 1. Homemade Hummus and 9. Shirazi salad were also amazing. I have to get these sides every time- they're done really well and hit the spot. They really add to the overall flavors of the meal."
