The whipped cream on the outside is airy and not very sweet (compliment), the cake is light and soft, the raspberry cream inside the roll adds a gentle tart kick that is delicate enough to not overpower the rest of the components but is just enough to add that much needed oomph. The cake itself is fairly large but because of the lightness of it, you might need more to satisfy someone with a crazy sweet tooth. "Kalyug is one of my favorite restaurants in Canada. The food always reminds me of home, and honestly, I haven’t found a better taste anywhere else. The quality, flavor, and authenticity are outstanding. For me, Kalyug deserves a full 5-star rating.
I would just like to suggest a couple of small improvements. First, my order did not include disposable cutlery. It would be helpful if cutlery were included with takeout and delivery orders. Even if there is a small extra charge for it, I would not mind paying.
Second, the spicy sauce and the pickled onions (vinegar-marinated onions) were provided in very small quantities. These sides add a lot to the overall meal experience, and it would be great if a little more could be included, especially for regular customers.
Other than these minor suggestions, everything was excellent. The food is consistently delicious, the portions are satisfying, and the taste truly feels like home. I can honestly say that I haven’t had better Indian food anywhere else in Canada. Kalyug has earned my 5-star rating, and I highly recommend it to anyone looking for authentic, home-style food"
