"The fish was really fresh and so far the best I've had in Tucson. Most places in AZ and Tucson struggle to incorporate topping like green onions, yuzu, bonito flakes, and sauces. Flakes knows how to do this well and made the nigiri very tasty. The Hamachi Aburi was insanely good as well as the Hamachi Yuzu Zukuri. Highly recommend trying either!
Service was incredible as well, only one staff member working so it was a little slow but they offered a free drink and edamame with the meal. Service like that is a rarity here and was greatly appreciated. I also ordered take out and every single item was labeled very well and there were even disposable soy sauce dishes which was super nice. Prices are also great, it's consistent with competitors but since the fish is so much better I think you get more than what you pay for.
Ambiance was so-so it is a new place so it's clearly not fully set up yet but the vision is there and it's VERY clean which I appreciate being in a college town. This was also obvious with the fish being very clean tasty and no fishy taste.

Every dish was disastrously made. The dynamite rolls were shoved into a small container, so they broke apart in transit. The pork belly was exceptionally dry and hard to eat (though the sauce was tasty), the risotto bland, the au gratin potatoes were undercooked and crunchy, and the THREE CHEESE MAC WITH LOBSTER didn't have any lobster.
We did a separate order for more items as they were out of the brick chicken, and those items were terrible as well.
All packaging comes in either small boxes or regular boxes, and the portion sizes are super small. $25 for lobster mac and cheese, and you get one scoop of shells (with no lobster).

"I don't like writing negative reviews, but the pictures are false advertising. The Chicken Basquez was tasty, but the portion sizes and the amount of chicken was very disappointing. Half the amount of rice and maybe a third of the amount of chicken basquez, maybe even less. Like 4-6 pieces of chicken. It's barely even worth it with the 2 for 1 deal I got. The Tomato Spread was good, but the bread seemed old and it didn't have much of a garlic flavor. I also think the amount of bread given was on the skimpy side for the price. The Chimichurri was excellent. The Al Vino was also good. Maybe if you dine in the portions are better, but I would recommend against take out."
