"Anybody knocking Tommy’s clearly doesn’t know the place or the history. Tommy’s has been in the same spot since 1980 with the same owners — restaurants don’t last 45 years in Southern California unless they’re doing something right. Long before poke bowls became trendy, Tommy’s was already serving them. In fact, the owner’s son liked the concept so much he went on to launch the fast-casual chain Pokinometry. The fish at Tommy’s is consistently fresh and the quality has been solid for decades, which is more than can be said for plenty of sushi spots around here. Sometimes one bad take on a delivery app says more about the reviewer than the restaurant."
"The first time I ordered this it was excellent so I ordered on a second occasion. However, the second order did not taste fresh, even the avocado was browning and the fish just wasn't the same. Tommy's has been inconsistent with their quality for about a year now. I've been eating here since 1986 so, yes, I do recognize that they aren't providing the same quality and consistency of the past. Also their prices have increased by at least 50% over the past few years. Quality reduced, quantity reduced and way more expensive. This bronco roll literally cost $2.50 a piece for grocery store quality sushi. Very disappointed. I used to love this place for decades."

The chicken had a weird consistency and the entire bowl was covered in egg yolk, it dripped all the way down below the rice. I had a side of ponzu that I had to pay for that was super bland and it spilled in the bag on the way to me. This place is not worth the price!"

Always looks exactly like the photo, just beautiful, fresh and delicious. For some reason tonight it absolutely looks just like this when I opened the box. There were two of them stacked on top of each other, which you can kind of see in the photo but aside from that they literally look like they were dropped. I'm not sure what happened, but this was a total mess and they went right in the trash. It doesn't even look like a complete roll with the way the seam is split wide open. I contacted DoorDash and they took care of it right away with no problem. Again, this will not reflect on the whole restaurant and we will definitely order again as we eat their in person as well.
