"Mersin Chicken Tantuni with Yogurt Sauce - 4 stars; This seems to be a wrapped chicken Donner, sliced, and topped with a yogurt sauce & spices. It's good, I would have requested no tomatoes if I had known they were included. Eat with utensils of some sort (chopsticks, fork, spoon) as it's slightly messy to eat with hands. Portion size is good and can be shared easily.
Stuffed Grape Leaves (Sarma)(5 pcs) - 3 stars; These are thinner than I'm used to but still good. They go well with the Turkish Sausage & Eggs and are only filled with spiced rice.
Turkish Sausage & Eggs 4 stars; The description and picture said sunny side up eggs but it was actually a sausage omelet instead. I got it with mozzarella and ate with the Sarma to balance out the flavor.
Pistachio Roll ( 1 pcs) - 4 stars; I prefer this to baklava as I find that too sweet. This was not too sweet, slightly dry, and very pistachio forward.
Overall, I would order again and looking forward to trying something different from the menu. It's a bonus that they are open late and the food still tastes fresh, even the Pistachio Roll ( 1 pcs)."

"We've had this in the past but I was very disappointed this time. The oil used to fry things talked stale and old, causing the Chicken Nuggets and fries to not taste good. The Doner w/ Rice meat was very bland and the rice had so much oil that it left a small pool on the plate; the vegetables were just a few thin slices of tomato, a little shredded iceberg lettuce, and onions on the side. "Very mixed bag; weirdly it seemed like the items that were the hardest to prepare were better than the things that should have been basic. There wasn't nearly enough chicken for the price, and while it was flavorful it was also very dry and a bit burnt tasting. The "vegetables" were two wedges of onion and one of tomato. The pita bread was cardboard-like and inedible. But here's the good news: the salad was excellent, very fresh and redolent of red wine vinegar and herbs. The hummus was wonderful and obviously house made with good olive oil. The rice was warm and flavorful. The fries probably came out of the freezer but they were fried and seasoned well. I might order from here again but next time I'll try the falafel or the lamb instead of the chicken."

"We ordered the lamb shank and the chenjej kabob with salads. The typical salad was great but the Shirazi salad was just chopped tomatoes and cucumber with no seasoning, no olive oil. The lamb shank was very small and mostly fat, again no seasoning. Sadly, the Chenjeh kabob was so overcooked and dry with no seasoning, I don't think even salt. It came in a big container with 8 small scattered pieces of meat- looked a bit sad. We had eaten at Alborz in probably 2013 and enjoyed it, not so much now. We are fans of Persian food. I don't know what went wrong tonight but would never order again, unfortunately."
