I was excited to support Juliana’s Bakery & Sweets after hearing great recommendations about the cornmeal guava mini cakes. I walked there early in the rain specifically for those items and was told in person they were unavailable, with staff stating they are made every other day.
After returning home, I checked DoorDash and saw the exact same cakes available for pickup within 30 minutes, which was both confusing and frustrating. This meant I made a second trip back in the rain because the information I received in person did not match what was being offered online.
Additionally, my order included a vanilla cupcake with dulce de leche, which was unavailable, but instead of notifying me beforehand or allowing me to approve a substitution, the store made that decision without my consent.
While I appreciate the handwritten apology note, better communication, accurate inventory, and customer transparency are necessary. Customers deserve consistent information and the ability to make informed purchasing decisions.
The desserts were enjoyable, but the overall experience left me disappointed due to poor communication and conflicting availability information."

"I'm back again lol I ordered the original chocolate chip, triple chocolate chip, milk chocolate chip, and oatmeal deluxe cookies (group pictured in the order listed---I think at least---minus the oatmeal one). You would think there can't be much difference in chocolate chip cookies but there is! They're each great in their own subtle way---I can't even pick a favorite. But I'd say the original is super chocolatey, the triple chocolate is a nice switch-up from the average, and the milk chocolate has a slightly more muted sweetness so it's easy to just savor the whole thing; they all have the perfect combo of crunch and chewiness. I wish there was an oatmeal cookie with only chocolate chips and pecans, but that's only because I'm not a fan of raisins or any fruit in baked goods lol I'm bouta go broke over here messing around with Nola Cookie Co.
