"I could never find a good Jamaican restaurant down here right every Jamaican restaurant I've been to out here The food was either ice cold or just plain nasty. I honestly gave up on finding good Jamaican food out here, but because I lived in New York before and I know about Golden crust, I decided to give them a try and try my luck and I do not regret it at all. The food was hot. Unlike the other places I've been to down here. The food was flavor. The chicken was tender, juicy cabbage, nice and crunchy. Everything was absolutely delicious golden crust You was great in New York when I lived up there, but you're even better down here in Fort Lauderdale. I highly recommend eating here if you want some hot flavorful good Jamaican food. These other man pop shops are disgusting."
"Callaloo with salt fish was very well-flavored. The spice level was perfect. Boiled dumplings were perfect consistency. Plantains were just the right sweetness. Callaloo was great texture and consistency (not soggy) and the salt fish had the right amount of salt! Definitely will be ordering again!"

"I got the Griot Complete and it was sensational! The serving portion was more than enough for 2 people and the rice was SPECTACULAR!!!!!! I'll be ordering again. "
"This meal was simple but filling. The liver was well-cooked and had good flavor, and the onions and peppers on top gave it a nice crunch and a bit of freshness. The boiled green bananas were soft and paired well with the meat, making it a hearty combo. The salad on the side was fresh with lettuce, carrots, and cherry tomatoes, and the dressing added a light, tangy touch. Overall, it was a good, home-style meal that gets the job done."

"Delicious, closest to my mummy's tassot dine that I've been able to find in South FL in over a decade. Pikliz needed more cabbage and carrots in my opinion but that's my preference (I prefer a crunchier pikliz) but the flavor and spice level were very good. Banan peze on point. Diri djon djon very tasty. Diri kole was SO good. 10/10
Also laughing at the other review that stated she "didn't like it" but also thumbs upped all three of the dishes she ordered... "DoorDash Emerging Expert" is an interesting qualifier for congnitive dissonance. Maybe she was seeking a refund but couldn't lie on them flavors? But that’s none of my business though."
"The food absolutely amazing!! The Fried Pork (Griot) has so much flavor! You can taste the freshness and love in everything! The Sitwonade (Haitian Limeade)is the perfect touch to bring all the flavors together! This is my new spot when in the area!"

"Everything was delicious! The turkey was flavorful and well-seasoned, the akra was crispy and tasty, and the mango drink was refreshing. The portions were satisfying, and I really enjoyed my meal. I would definitely recommend this restaurant and order again. Highly recommended! ❤️"
"I ordered takeout from here and was seriously impressed. The snapper was absolutely exquisite, perfectly cooked, tender, and packed with flavor even after the drive home. It’s not easy for seafood to travel well, but this held up beautifully.Everything was packaged carefully, still fresh and delicious when I opened it. "I ordered "Normal" fried pork, however, I received fried pork in stew. Also, I was really looking forward to some good pikliz but it was sweet. Sweet pikliz!!! "Not too bad! The jerk chicken (dark meat) had a nice smoky flavor and, most importantly, wasn’t dry. It was refreshing to have jerk Jerk Chicken (Dark Meat) that was actually moist and flavorful. The rice was also really good, not like some other Jamaican restaurants where the rice and peas can be dry. This rice was moist, well-seasoned, and had plenty of flavor. The only problem is I ordered a patty and they were out of Beef Patty and I didn't know until I got my order that they were out. Definitely will try this place again though."

"The Curry Shrimp Meal and Boneless Curry Chicken Meal were top notch. I really loved the roast pepper sauce. That took the meal to the next level. I can appreciate the frustrations of others regarding the smaller portion size. I think that Tabanka's food is amazing. Would I have loved more? Sure. I also recognize that the restaurant has to be aware of their portion sizes as not to hurt their profit margins. I felt our portion size was appropriate for the price paid. Anna and team, keep up the amazing work!"

"This place is the real deal. I have tried scores of Latin restaurants in Soflo that disappoint. The flavors of every dish is as authentic as it gets to anyone who grew up eating Latin food, specifically Caribbean Latin. The only oxtail I'll order anywhere from West Palm to Fort Lauderdale."
"We really enjoyed our meal and would absolutely order from here again. The Rabo Encendido was divine, rich, incredibly flavorful, and easily one of the highlights. It is a bit on the expensive side, especially for the portion size, but it was such a delicious treat that I’d happily order it again.
The Ropa Vieja was also very tasty and came with a generous portion. The steamed yuca was the perfect side for it. The beans were a little soupier than I typically prefer, but they were well seasoned and perfectly cooked.
The only real miss was the white rice, which was noticeably hard, and some of the portions felt a little small for the price.
And the café con leche deserves its own mention, it was the best I’ve had in a long time. Seriously good. Overall, the flavors were there, we enjoyed everything enough that we would definitely order again, and I already know another café con leche will be part of the next order. ☕️❤️"

"A gem! This place makes me feel like I am right back on the island! Everything is fresh and tasty. Portions are perfect! Must try the pernil, Bistec Palomilla , Empanadas and their amazing mofongos!"
"Amazing consistency from one order to the next, which we have unfortunately learned is not common in our area of Ft Lauderdale. The Empanadas, arroz con gandueles, and the habichuelas have become our favorites. Perfect portions and fresh taste. Will continue to order as long as the consistency lasts. Maith thu!"

"Literally the best Authentic Jamaican food! The Mac and Cheese taste like someone's grandma made it!! The Curry Goat was rich with flavor and so savory! Can't wait to try the other dishes! Big Up's and kisses the Chef!!"
"The Fried Chicken was burnt, I always ordered white meat and very few times I get a piece of breast. It's always two wings and a piece of back of the breast or some scraps. The rice is hard at times and most times have no color because they don't use enough peas.
The flavor of chicken is good but I will not use order again. "

"Family Style Meal Two: Chicken and Steak with fried rice and garlic potatoes. Everything was hot delicious and well packed. Steak was good! Chicken was some of the best we've had. Sauces were a great addition. Definitely a new favorite spot! Thank You La Brasa Grill!"
"Family Meal Two is a pretty good deal. We ordered and have enough to eat tomorrow. The chicken was the best in my opinion along with the garlic potatoes. Rice & Beans were ok, not my favorite as the beans were a bit soupy and not enough Beans if that makes sense. But I'd order again."

"This was my second time ordering from this place, and it did not disappoint at all! This has got to be one of the best Griot (Fried Pork) that I have had in the whole South Florida area. The meat was tender, fresh, seasoned with an amazing gravy; the Plantains (3 Bannan Peze) and Marinade were hot, fresh and well seasoned. 10/10 quality and service!"
"The Tassot Turkey (Fried Turkey)itself was tasty. The black rice was kind of bland. The Boulette (Meatballs) was really tiny for the price and were not tasting good. Not the quality of Boulette (Meatballs) that I would usually get from other Haitian restaurants. The plaintains did not taste like it was cooked in fresh oil. Usually it's better here, maybe it was the I ordere but I was disappointed."

"The jerk chicken isn't dry, it's very good and the rice and peas is a good complement. Veggies are consistently fresh. Great value, I've ordered this a few times and each time the flavor and portions are consistent. Very filling meal for the price!"
"Are you kidding me?!!
Are you telling me that I had to come all the way to Florida on business to find one of the best, most flavorful meals?!!
The Jerk Pork is amazing...so tender!
The Jerk Chicken & Shrimp Pasta is so good. I think I'm picking up notes of cumin? Nutmeg?
And the portions are crazy big!
Definitely give Island Vybz a try...great comfort food!"
