• 26-07-14The chicken empanada reminded me of Miami. It was delicious.
But the sopa de Mondongo is the absolute food of the gods. I've had it many times from Nicaraguan and Honduran restaurants, but this Costa Rican version was perfection.
This is what filled my large soup bowl, potatos, carrots, calabasa, chayote, cabbage, red peppers, zucchini and onions. Half of the container was tripe. and I know the recipe was authentic because on top in the center is an entire hoof and ankle joint. I love cartilagenous meats, and this was perfect. The tripe was tender and not chewy, and each veggie tasted like it was added to the pot at the perfect time to bring out its best flavor. The broth was rich and savory, warm but not spicy hot. This is all I'm eating from now on. 😊

I would keep coming back for the Desayuno Pupusas ALONE!! These things are heavenly! They're like little hand tossed, slightly dense, corn tortillas. Some of them made with fillings like cheese and beans. They're absolutely wonderful, and I'm convinced somebody's grandma is back in a kitchen somewhere making these every morning!😁
Their beef soup is HEAVENLY!! And is an amazing breakfast even though it's probably the last thing you would even think of ordering for breakfast. It's absolutely perfect. Warm, hearty, nourishing, satisfying, and a wonderful start to my day!
I canno't recommend this restaurant highly enough!🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟

• 26-01-24Love this place, always have. Ordered half pollo half carne asada burrito and asked for extra rice, my man did not disappoint. The thing was packeddd! Everything tasted super fresh and the hot sauces were just the right amount of heat and flavor to complement the burrito. My pregnancy craving has been fully satisfied.

Definitely recommend there Desayuno Pupusas / Pupusas Breakfast. There Desayuno Tamales / Tamales Breakfast. and there Desayuno Empanadas / Turnovers Breakfast. There green sauce and red sauce is amazing!!! red sauce is very spicy so eat with caution. I love it though lol.

• 26-01-02I requested platinum instead of yuka & they fulfilled my order with no problem. The cheese on the pupusa is real, unlike some places. They're always open early breakfast lunch, and dinner all day. I've ordered from here many of times and I will continue. They always follow instructions on the orders, unlike most places that don't even read the instructions.
