Rockaway River Barn has become my top choice on DoorDash. Consistent high quality food, good portions and nicely packaged. Their menu is extensive and has a wide variety of choices. Also appreciate the little extras, like the different breads that are included with the orders.

everything was very good the only thing that wasn't nice was that I only got 3 chzsteak rolls when it's advertised that I get 7 for the price it was for

I ordered fish and chips, gumbo soup, apple strudel and corn bread.
the gumbo was spicy, but lacked flavor. the fish was soggy and tasteless. the fries were ok. the cornbread was tasty. The apple strudel never arrived. Overall, the food arrived cool. Also, you would think, that a restaurant, seeing an order delivered to a hotel room, would include utensils and napkins. They didn't seem to think that was necessary. It seemed, at best, this was a rush job so that the restaurant could close early and everyone could go home .
ln all honesty, judging by my meal, I cannot recommend this restaurant.

Everything my wife and I get from here is always great. Also an awesome atmosphere if you go there to eat.

So...i guess this is one of those places if you're familiar with it, you know you're not getting what you would expect based on the name of the dish. I had to go find their menu separately online to even see a description, since they didn't bother putting one on door dash, but even with that, definitely not what I expected. 

If you tell me I'm getting Garlic Shrimp "in a spicy sauce"(from their separate online menu description), I'm definitely not going to expect shrimp poached in Buffalo sauce soup with chunks of garlic. 

If you tell me I'm getting Oven Portobello "with spinach, grated cheese and tomatoes", I'm definitely not expecting to get chunks of rubbery boiled mushrooms in so much watery tomato sauce that it spilled all over the dasher's car. 

If you give me the option between steamed and sautéed broccoli, and I pick sautéed... I'm not expecting to get mushy steamed Broccoli that's now overcooked because it was tossed in a hot pan for a minute. 

The shrimp actually tasted pretty good, but I would have ordered something else if there was any indication it was in Buffalo sauce soup. Portobellos weren't terrible tasting with heavy salt and pepper, but I wouldn't have ordered that either if I knew how far off the description it would be. Broccoli...at least it had plenty of garlic.
