My top favorite Indian restaurant in DC! Finding South Indian flavors is so difficult, and while Vegz not only gets the crispy MYSORE MASALA DOSA(V/GF) right, they nail the coconut chutney! The POORI BHAJI (V) had just the right tang to the curry, and the CHOLE PURI (V) was rich. DAL MAKHANI (V/GF) was creamy and just delightful!

Ordered JAIN DAL TADKA from Vegz, which came with rice.
Dal was very tasty and flavourful, just how it should be and the rice was cooked perfectly.
Took the picture after mixing the dal and rice together in my own container, however they came separately, packed in individual containers.

This was my first time ordering and I was blown away. Everything was so nicely packaged and BEYOND DELICIOUS!! The food all came fresh and hot, and had excellent flavor. The MEDU VADA(V,GF) were perfectly crispy but not greasy and came with a couple chutneys and sambar. The DAL CHAWAL(V/GF) was a large portion and packed with flavor! Can't wait to enjoy the leftovers. MANGO LASSI was also such a creamy delicious treat to go along with a wonderful meal. I'm amazed at the quality and quantity of food for such a low price. It's taken me forever to find authentic, home style Indian food (not the "elevated" stuff) in DC, and I'm happy my search is finally over -- consider me a new loyal customer!

The dal makhani tastes so good! But quantity of rice given was not enough.
NAAN (V)
I've never seen so small naans in my life! They have given 2 very small pieces of naan.
Overall, quality and taste is good but disappointed by the portion size.

So good and my delivery always comes hot! The paneer tikka is especially good but nothing I've ever gotten has been bad or even just ok and I'm not even vegetarian. Decent sized portions and reasonable prices too. It's my new go to spot!
