• 4/26/25Great taste. One star off for how pricey it is! $12.90 for just five co dumplings. Great takeout packaging to allow for steam to pass to keep scallion pancake crispy! dan short rib is flavorful and meat is tender.

• 1/1/23Crispy dumplings are just steamed dumplings topped with a thin rice cracker. The salt pepper tofu was Flavorless, the batter was mushy and had the texture of half dried glue. I asked for mine extra crispy, I guess that direction was ignored. You can get much better Chinese food for much less money. I would not recommend Dan Modern Chinese to anyone.

• 6/14/22Tonight was the third time I ordered Dan modern Chinese's chicken noodle soup and steamed chicken dumpling. It is by far the best Chinese food I have ever eaten. The noodle soup contained the longest the best and the most noodles served in an amount for one. It was really enough for two including large portions of chicken breast and bok Choy? vegetables enough for two people. The food arrived in ingenious containers that kept it hot. I was full having eaten both dishes stuffing myself because I could not stop this incredible experience.

• 6/22/22Beyond delicious! Some of the best fried rice I've had. The mapo tofu was hearty and well seasoned. The portions are generous as well!

• 6/11/26Love this place. Specifically: Shrimp and shishito + green beans. I can't wait for them to come back down to earth and charge a reasonable amount for this food. They skimp on the protein and it's impossible to order a meal for 1 for less than $50. It's a shame, I'd eat here 3-4 times a week if it wasn't so out of touch in terms of prices.
