Forget how wonderful this food is!!!! We just need to order more from Great China. All they have is good!!! Great flavor, great portions and a nice variety of choices. Looking real forward to ordering from Great China real soon. Thank you!!!!

The ginger scallion prawns were excellent, plenty of sauce with a fresh, sweet ginger flavor. The braised Mongolian lamb was OK, but a little dry. That said, the price was very high for what I got.
Next time, I'll stick to Mongolian beef and the walnut prawns.

everything was great as usual. great china is a Berkeley favorite. we had walnut prawns, Mongolian beef, and chicken chow mein. they are fantastic, if you're deciding between here and another place, just order from great china NOW!!!

Chow main was really bland and lacked flavor and same goes for the Mongolian Beef . Their food seems to be better when you dine in. Pretty disappointed since their food is on the pricey side. Will not be ordering again.

I've been going to Great China since before they moved to Bancroft, into the old barbecue place. I've never had anything besides exceptionally good food.
Not tonight. The beef in beef with golden chives was tough. And I mean TOUGH. My husband actually choked on a piece.
I only bring this up because I hope it's a one off, with maybe a tired or distracted chef. But given their otherwise-sterling reputation, I suggest that if subpar meat arrives in the kitchen again, the restaurant just takes the item off the menu.
Everything else was, as usual, outstanding.
