Mel's has great classic diner food. The cup of fruit is pretty big compared to most diners and I LOVE that they use fresh strawberries on the waffles rather than strawberry compote!!

The *French Toast was EXTREMELY eggy to the point it wasn't edible. Also there is a lack of consistency one day I had the *Veggie Omelette and it was amazing - the second day it was horrible...onions were slimy and overcooked - other veggies were cooked good. *Side Turkey Sausage was rubbery and very bland.

We ordered 2 sunrise sandwiches. One with hash browns, one with fried potatoes. I'm giving this 5 stars but I would have preferred my hash browns be brown or even burnt. the potatoes should not still be white. The fried potatoes were awesome and so was the sandwich. lots of bacon, so bacon lovers will be pleased. I wish ham was an option. We have been going to Mel's for decades, and they are constantly good to excellent. Highly recommended.

Very poor presentation - turkey was just dry chunks dropped into the mashed potatoes, almost no stuffing, and very little gravy despite my request a little extra.
