I'm just an Honest Samaritan! Man, i go around Metro Detroit, trying different restaurants. After several mid-low level experiences, i must say, I'm extremely happy that I gave Mookie's a try.
I was skeptical about the prices. but when I went to go pick up my food not only Did I get a call from one of the employees she made sure that my order was correct versus what I selected in the app.
The smothered Pork Chops (2 Pcs) (Dinner) was absolutely amazing. not too salty, really good gravy and a nice portion. I would definitely order it again. The sides were also amazing. I specifically love that cabbage. Once again the food was not salty. it was seasoned just right. Salt does not equal flavor. So if you love soul food, please give Mookies a try. you won't be disappointed.

Hello I am a fan of soul food but the Peach cobbler for $13 is not worth the size doesn't match the price, not enough crust or dough ,the taste is sweet enough and the macaroni cheese is to be desired not cheesy enough and The greens and catfish was great , hopes this helps someone make their choices

Pork chops seasoned to perfection. Yams were good but slightly soupy. Peach cobbler was soupy with soft saturated crust, had more peaches than anything. Dressing was salty, came with gravy- I asked without gravy. Mac n cheese has been re-rocked too many times. It's probably good fresh but I had days old Mac that keeps being put in the oven recooking the cheese. Too much cheese. Greens bitter and slightly undercooked. Cornbread has a hot water cornbread taste to it but that was good. 4/10 due to taste and pricing

Missing $10 side and the rib tips were not worth the cost. Expensive, fatty and minimal. I will continue to support them but they must do better for online orders as they do in person. Never would order on an app again.

the Fried Pork Chop (1) W/ Sides (2) Lunch Portion was very good BUT I was disappointed with the portions. Compared to similar restaurants around the area (portions and prices) the portions were small in comparison for about the same price as the competition. Again, it was very good food but I'd say add another spoonful or two at least to the sides.
