Hello, we are Sansom Kabob House. A local Afghani restaurant bringing authentic Afghan cuisine from the core of Afghanistan. We originally opened on October 2nd, 2002. We were on 1526 Sansom St. for …
This place is expensive but I can't get anything like their Kadu from anywhere else. The Chalaw Banjan is one of my favorite things to eat in Philly also.

For the total price of the food we paid for dinner, we got very little food, it was a lunch portion. We spent half the price on lunch today from one of those middle eastern carts selling food on the sidewalk and it fed two people.

The lamb tasted like I was eating an actual lamb without searing... just imagine the smell and the tase of that thing. I onyly got 2 pieces of it and literally gave both to my dog.
The chicken was even worse, it smelled and tasted like a wash rag that had been sitting in water smelling like mildew...
The beef kabob was okay, a little dry. Ive had better for cheaper at places like "the Persian grill".
The only reason this got 2/5 stars and not 1/5 is the bread... the bread is a pretty decent.

I ordered the Mantu and Chablee Kabob. Not at all what I was expecting. First of all 6 dumplings for $25 is insane. To add insult to injury they were completely a mushy mess. Very gummy. The kabob also wasn't cooked well. It's supposed to be thin and crispy around the edges and it wasn't. Not worth the price whatsoever. Extremely disappointing.

ivorddred to go. food is good but poryions are too small compared to other places. half filled container for rice, half filled side container for green chuney, half of a roasted tomato with kabab... like, seriously? also, please don't put yogurt dressing on the salad alredy. it makes everything wetand soggy even before getting the order home. the dressing can be put in a side container.
