• 6/6/25The R's Chicken-Fried Steak was huge and delicious, as was the big baked potato. The Coconut - Slice of pie was also large and delicious. We order thru DoorDash too often. This was the 1st restaurant that I wanted to HUG. Even the condiments were present and plentiful.

• 9/5/25I was ready to write Big R's off, then I ordered these two tonight. The Porkwich was beyond succulent!! Tender, lean and with a touch of burnt ends if pigs have those. LOL. The BBQ sauce, perfection. Portion size so yuge I'll have enough for tomorrow, it was falling out of the soft bun. The fries side was crispy and hot. Suzy-Q's don't travel well, these do and they're seasoned! Of course Coconut - Slice is still the pie you can't deny, albeit smaller than years ago. I do appreciate less whip on the top. Love it as always!

• 5/24/24Mixed Review/Some Good, Some Bad.
The Steakhouse Burger was excellent, with a smoky flavor. A little dry but I like it that way. I appreciate the crisp, fresh veggies placed under the burger on foil. I don't eat veggies on burgers so they got tossed sadly. Pls give the option to remove veggies. Crispy onions were excellent on top. French Fries vs Suzy Q's are the way to go with DD. They travel well and aren't a greasy, soggy clump.
Coconut - Slice: Literally broke my heart. What has happened to Big R's "Pie you can't deny?" There must be two tiers of pies, one for DD customers and the best for restaurant patrons. Mine was 1/2 the size I remember. Extremely tiny, not at ALL like what you get in the restaurant. I appreciated less whipped cream topping, but the delicious filling was maybe 1/2" thick vs 1.5" what it used to be. The coconut filling was so thin, it disappeared into the crust. The taste was the same as always, but the portion size was not a good value for $6.00. When will Mom and Pop restaurants stop giving DD customers smaller portions than restaurant patrons? We pay a premium and at least deserve the same portions. I'd gladly pay extra for an entire pie if that option were even available. If you're expecting the same delicious pie slice size via DD as in the restaurant, you'll be bitterly disappointed in the size.

• 12/19/23Wanted to try somplace new for lunch. Big mistake. My mom couldnt even chew her BLT it was so tough and my Turkey club with BBQ sauce had no sauce at all. We ate the Mac and cheese and potato salad. I spent over $30 for two cups of side dishes.

• 9/17/23the bread for the BLT was super hardy. ❤️ it held the two tomatoes well without becoming soggy. the pieces of bacon were huge! they hung off both sides of the bread. delicious!
