• 6/4/25Probably the best mashed potatoes, green beans and Wood-Grilled Asparagus. Wood-Grilled Chicken was good, nothing spectacular but still yummy.

• 12/23/25I used to frequent Tahoe Joe's for great food but in the last year or so, it's been lacking in quality. I ordered a Whiskey Peppercorn Sirloin for my father, which was not what it used to be. The steak was different, tough(even though I asked for it medium well done), and the sauce was gelatinous. I also ordered Jackpot Nachos, the steak was also tough, and the salsa was bad? The lid of the salsa container had domed, there was fermentation bubles, and smelled bad. Very unfortunate, especially as the prices have gone up.

• 1/24/26We have been going to Tahoe Joes since it opened in Bakersfield years ago. It has always been delicious and we have been served quality meals. We decided to Door Dash our food tonight and the result was very different. I am sure if we were in the restaurant, this ribeye would have never been plated and served. I paid $47 for a ribeye steak that was thinner than a hamburger patty. There was a large amount of fat that had to be cut away from the steak. The end result was a pathetic piece of meat. I could see the ribeye was a substandard piece of meat when I opened the container and I'm quite sure the Tahoe Joes server knew this as well but sent it anyway. Shame on this restaurant.

• 6/13/26What happened. My Joes steak was so over cooked it was terrible. My husbands porkchops were cooked so long they were like hockey pucks. So disappointed in this dinner. We irder several times from Tanoe Joes and tbis is tbw oorstedeber.

• 2/18/26The whiskey peppercorn sirloin was tasty but also uncharacteristically tough. I've had this a few times before and it was never tough and chewy like this go around. It was cooked medium rare.
I'll chalk this up as a one off and order it again at a different time.
The lemon pie on the other hand was delicious as usual.
