Look. Look. If you are craving a BLT, OvenBird is hands down the best BLT sandwich in Austin. They have perfected this sandwich, thick bacon, fresh tomatoes, mayo and crisp lettuce on thick toast. It is huge and plenty to share for two people.

I tried the WEEKEND ONLY Fried Chicken & Belgium Waffle special and trust me, save your money. The chicken was heavily overcooked, rubbery and bland. The waffles had an awkward orange zest and the dish had carrot slices that didn't compliment anything. The portion size for $22 also was insanely not worth. I'll never eat here again

The Breakfas Sandwich was pretty good, but I agree with the other reviews about the bacon. The bacon was just a thick slab of fat. No crisp and not even good thick bacon. Like an entire half of each piece was fat. I don't agree with people saying it was flavorless. I actually really like the rest of the flavor. If they would just trade out their awful choice in bacon, it would have been great to me.
The French toast was delicious. Especially the syrup. I don't really understand the price complaint. I got the half (one slice) which isn't a great deal, but I assume the full order is two large slices. For specialty French toast these days, that doesn't feel insane to me.
The orange danish was meh. I like the filling. But that actual pastry part was pretty disappointing. Too bready and bland.

Prices are a bit higher but the quality and ingredients are unmatched. The tacos, sauces and french toast are all great. The coffee is amazing my favorite is the iced mocha. The chocolate is made in house I believe

This was my after surgery treat and I was only able to eat one half. Absolutely the best BLT I've had in a long time. Hubby had the hash and said the same.
Everything was enjoyable and we will definitely be back ordering breakfast.
