I recently tried the jerk chicken and oxtail plate at backyard and it was an absolute culinary delight! The jerk chicken was perfectly seasoned with just the right amount of spice, creating an explosion of flavors with every bite. The chicken was tender and juicy, practically falling off the bone.
The oxtail, on the other hand, was a rich and savory experience. Slow-cooked to perfection, it had a deep, hearty flavor that complemented the jerk chicken wonderfully. The meat was so tender it melted in my mouth, and the gravy it was served with was simply divine.
The sides that accompanied the plate, including the rice and peas and plantains, were the perfect additions, balancing the meal and making it a truly satisfying experience.
The portion size was generous, making it great value for money. The service was also top-notch, with friendly staff who made the dining experience even more enjoyable.
If you're a fan of Caribbean cuisine or just looking to try something new, I highly recommend the jerk chicken and oxtail plate at Back yard . You won't be disappointed!

• 4/18/26Overall 10/10 ! Is it a crime to order every week we can't stop the meat be tender ! The portions could vary but the flavor is always there ! I love the plantains when the edges are a little crisp ! Sooo good ! I totally been recommending bc you can't miss on the oxtails , definitely a must is fresh depending on the day jk jk GOTCHA ! Is a must try !

• 4/2/26The portion of the plate is decent for the price , NOW the flavor ! Omg is good in my honest opinion this place is great the oxtails are great in size and tender ! I order once a week , I would love a little more rice but is okay the Portion is good and fresh , just know when you try them , you will be back for more !

• 12/14/23Can't get enough Back-A-Yard! Keep choosing the beef oxtails and jerk pork plates. Such generous portions of everything. The corn festivals are a treat and the best Key lime pie outside of Florida and the islands. Food is so flavorful. The beef falls off the bone, is tender, and a comfort in the cold weather. Love this place.
