• 4/10/25I drive by this restaurant all the time and have been wanting to try it, but every time lunch time gets here I forget all about it. Today I just so happened to see a post on Nextdoor advertising the specials so I quickly put my order in and it was ready for pickup very shortly after the order was confirmed.
Now to the food review. THIS RESTAURANT HAS 5 STARS ON HERE FOR A REASON. I will never forget about this restaurant again when I'm deciding on what to get for lunch. I do not have a single complaint. The Smoked Sausage in Red Gravy over Rice taste just like my great grandmother's. The Mac and cheese was seasoned so well, I didn't even need to add salt or pepper. The green beans are my favorite style - FRENCH CUT!
If you haven't tried t'pot noir's, you need to immediately!

• 10/10/24I love this hidden gem of the cottage shops! The food is always fresh and good. It might be, in fact, one of the last places in Lake Charles to get such home-cooking! The sausage and gravy happens be my fave-makes two meals for me! Be sure to try the homemade yeast rolls. Mac and cheese was some of the best I've ever had.

• 10/8/25I don't know what's in the corn but it's the best corn I've ever had in my life. The Beef Tips & Gravy over Rice was like I sat down for a meal at Memaws. Real good home cooking comfort food. 10/10 will definitely be eating here again. And there was PLENTY of rice and gravy. I'm stuffed, but keep going back for more bites because it's so good. Keep it up!

• 5/28/26Meatball Stew was very good and there was plenty. I still have enough for a snack later. I wish I had some potato salad left over but I cleaned the plate and will have to order more next time. The cajun chicken salad sandwich was perfect with a lil spice, but not overpowering. And of course Homemade Rootbeer is always delicious.
