ive ordered here several times I always get the half Half Bird Plate with greens and macaroni and cheese the chicken is always super crispy well seasoned and juicy the macaroni and cheese tastes like someone's grandma made it absolutely delightful and the greens are fantastic too if you want real southern soul food this is the only place you should get it in Lexington

This definitely did not disappoint, catfish crispy, well seasoned and still piping hot when it arrived. Greens served in a small cup to prevent getting the rest of my food wet, mac and cheese rich and creamy and cheesy. Amazing. Make sure to request hot sauce or any other condiments you might want. I forgot but thankfully I got some at my hotel, made the fish and greens perfect. I would absolutely order from Honey J's again

Honey J's is the best soul food in Lex. Hands down. The pork chops are my favorite, but Ive never gotten anything that was not amazing. And the portion for the price is crazy. I almost always have leftovers for the next day.

I got a pork chop dinner w/mac & cheese & yams. Very impressed w/the pork chop~cooked just right, very tender. Also,the 1st time w/ Kool-Aid. Just right. If you want your money's worth,order from HONEY J'S!On point.

WOW!!! This food was even better than I expected, which was a lot based on prior reviews. The location is clear across town yet our food arrived super hot and fresh. Order was carefully packaged and we received all items ordered. Everything was seasoned perfectly and packed with flavor. I had the Half Bird and it was some of the best I've ever had!! Crispy seasoned and cooked perfect. All sides were amazing, the Cake and Sauce was to die for and the Kool-Aid was even perfect. Cant recommend this spot enough. Our first time but will now be our go to for southern/soul food in lex. Do your stomach a favor and order now. You nor your wallet will be disappointed. 10/10
