• 2/21/24Delicious as always from the crisp, fresh veggies and refreshing oil and vinegar combo to the soft, warm bread and savory, perfectly seasoned meats. The Italian is the way to go for a satisfying classic cold sandwich. Don't skip the hot sandwiches such as the Mushroom and Steak for a heartier, winter friendly option. With the expensive tourist locales springing up throughout Bozeman, Pickle Barrel has stayed true to its standards and always been an energetic yet welcoming environment. Additionally, Montana made (and the best in Montana) Wilcoxson's ice cream is sold there year round. It's the perfect thing to grab for a late night study group, a picnic in the park, or a family dinner everyone can enjoy.

• 1/18/24sandwich enjoyers: you did it. you can stop scrolling through doordash now. this is the one. the value is just exceptional. i only ever find myself ordering a whole sub when i wish to enjoy pickle barrel multiple times in a given day. and the INGREDIENTS. in the near-decade since i first stumbled upon this place, the ingredients have been consistently fresh and delicious. the bread is soft and chewy, the vegetables crisp, and the meats/cheeses savory. all simple flavors, but intermingled in such a way that perfectly states each one; an experience i find comparable to attentively listening to a well balanced symphony. the only reason it took me as long as it did to write this review is because it took them as long as it did to get on doordash. i highly recommend this little shop, they very much deserve your business.

• 11/8/24I liked my sub the Ken's Special , but my husband didn't like the Cheese Steak. He was not fond of the red sauce on it. You get a lot of sub for the price though.

• 3/16/26Just ok at best. The order process doesn't let you customize the sandwich. Not the end of the world, but annoying. But the sandwich was so bland. No mayo, no oil or vinegar, no salt and pepper, no oregano. Or if it had any of those items they were so minimal I couldn't tell. To top it off I got a chocolate chip cookie that may have been from the covid era or at least from yesterday, no one knows.
