There is much hype about the "Best Burger in the US" at a small spot in Wahiawa lately. On my quest to find the best burger on Oahu, I went to the aforementioned spot and indeed it was outstanding. However, we did wait over an hour for “the best burger in America,” and that was to go. Dine in? Plan a half day.
Enter “Mahaloha”. Somewhat of an unknown spot in Kailua. Relatively new, they aim to please. And please they did. Their double patty cheeseburger was BETTER than the “best burger in the US” at their competitor’s location 15 miles north.
The patties were perfectly grilled to medium. The buns were just Hawaiian enough; and then there’s the sauce. THE. SAUCE. As they say, it, “broke da mouth.” Ordered online for pickup, and, if I may, Lord have mercy! WORLD CLASS burger! After 25 countries and an endless quest to find the WORLD’S best burger, Mahaloha EASILY makes the top five.
As I took the first bite, it got a little awkward as I laughed out loud next to the other guests; I was by myself. I’ll say this. I’m contemplating a trip from Seattle to Kailua JUST to get a Mahaloha burger.

The double cheeseburger and truffle fries were amazing. Just the right amount of fries to go with a delicious burger! They cooked the patty exactly how I ordered it. Due to packaging, my order remained fresh until it was delivered to me. I would order from here again and highly recommend others to give them a chance to make a lasting impression.

Great burger, loved that the avocados were ripe. Dripped a lot of grease n sauce so napkins should've been included. Sweet Potato Fries were so ono but very soft, no crispness. Idk if it's from the steam being in a closed container in a closed bag or if that's how they come, perfect amount of fries though. Definitely hit the spot I think next time I will try in store

I've ordered burgers from other places in Oahu and these were one of the best we've had. I ordered the Double Cheeseburger (1/2 Ib) for my husband, and my daughter and I had the Avocado Swiss Burger. Everyone was extremely happy with their order. They were all delicious and cooked to our specifications (well done). The best part was the burgers stayed together to the last bite! I think the biggest complaint I've ever had with other restaurants is when they load the condiments to the point where it turns the bread into a soggy mess and it's so slippery it doesn't allow you to bite into the burger without it falling apart. This burger was perfect. They put in just the right amount of mayo, catsup, and mustard. I give it a 10!!

The burgers were amazing. They were juicy and so much flavor. Double Cheeseburger (1/2 lb) can be shared. Kicks Teddy's burger butt. I didn't care for the Garlic Fries or Onion Rings as they were too crispy but my husband enjoyed them. Garlic Fries have the same flavor as your North shore garlic shrimp.
