Beef Tips & Gravy Soul Plate: everything was great! The Mac and cheese was super cheesy and amazing, collard greens had great taste and very well cooked, the cornbread was soft on the inside and had a nice crust on the outside and the beef was very well seasoned and perfectly spiced. Tip for pick up orders: you'll get a call when the order is ready to be picked up ;P

TLDR: NOT WORTH IT

I really wanted to like this place, but it was a fail. i've never had soul food this bland, salty, and expensive. 

Issues:
1. Took 1 and a Half Hours to arrive
2. Cost way too much for Quantity
3. They forgot the Cornbread that is in the description
4. Doesn't Taste Good

Items:

Catfish Dinner Plate - Catfish was bland and the fry was just okay. A step up from what you would expect at a place like Golden Corral.

Soul Plate - Sides Only (3) NO MEAT - Got all of them. 
Sweet Potato/Yam -  Nothing Special
Cole Slaw - Tasted okay, not crisp/fresh enough
Fried Okra - These were fine. More spice needed. 
Mac N Cheese - Best of the sides 
Collard Greens - Inedibly Salty

 Shrimp & Grits Roll - Inedibly Salty, Doesn't hold together well.

The food is very good but the portions are wayyy to small. 15$ for a literal cup of macaroni is robbery

Delicious and beautiful. So glad to have some food with black culture in Santa Barbara. Chef Guidance is nice and kind, and her food tastes great. If you've never had real southern comfort foods, nows your chance to enjoy soul food in an all new way!

Ive been eating food prepared by this chef for years. She has a talent for tastes, and she puts love in every thing she makes. She has cones long way to get here abdstart this dream.  Her seasonings and flavors take me back home to Louisiana. We are so Glad to have this BLACK owned business in Santa Barbara; Owned by a chef who LOVES her comm and is passionate about culinary arts and her community.
