roti was very greasy and food appeared to be just thrown in container and mixed up. Small portion of meat, I got the Goat Buss Up and two Solo. I could not finish the meal. The best part of the meal was the Solo. I was born and raised in Trinidad and never had food like this. I will not be ordering from here anymore.

Love this place! The Polourie is chefs kiss and the shrimp bussup is even better. The owner is always so kind too. Thank you Coal Pot!!!

Overall, the food was lacking flavor; which is not at a how I remember it being in the past. It's been over three years since Ive eaten at this restaurant; hopefully it's just an off day. I ordered the Sunday Special plate and the only two items that Iwas looking forward to (macaroni pie and calalou) were swapped out for cabbage and pumpkin. Thats not a $24 plate.

I really like this place, and the people who work there. But they're so inconsistent with ingredients, sizing and taste. Today food tasted like it was leftovers from yesterday and it was poorly salted, but normally it taste much better. I hate the inconsistency bc it's a big difference not even a slight one.
