Had the CALI Plate , there was a decent amount of food in the container chicken still moist , katsu well breaded and macaroni salad perfect balance. Was a little confused picking up and realizing it's in a strip club but food was decent

Having previously tried the Chicken Katsu and Pork Lumpia (both excellent) I decided to try Da MIX Plate tonight and it was amazing. The short ribs were tender and juicy the chicken was moist and the beef was really flavourful. Top notch all around glad I discovered this gem Highly recommend.

I've reviewed this restaurant already twice, this is my third. Nothing has changed, it's still amazing food. The chicken cutlet is crispy on the outside and perfectly cooked on the inside. The gravy (smacking lips) is so darn good, it's my favorite thing. The portions are generous and the food is always fresh and hot.

Chicken Katsu Cutlet was crispy and plentiful, and they gave me the gravy on the side like I asked. That's where the positives end. The Chicken Katsu Cutlet was extremely thin, there was almost no meat. The gravy tasted kinda bad but maybe thats just preference. The rice was kind of dry but passable. The macaroni salad was kind of dry, and tasted bad.

I’ve ordered from Da #1 Hawaiian BBQ more times than I can count, honestly, it’s almost a weekly DoorDash tradition at this point and they never disappoint.
The portions are always generous, the food is hot and fresh, and let me just say…their gravy is hands down the best gravy I’ve ever had. If you’re a gravy person like me, you already know that can make or break a meal, and they absolutely nail it every single time.
My usual go-to is the Loco Moco (my forever favorite, pure comfort food heaven). But tonight I switched it up and tried the Katsu chicken cutlet with gravy, and wow… crispy, tender, and smothered in that rich, savory goodness. Zero regrets.
What really keeps me coming back though isn’t just the food, it’s the way they treat their customers.
They pay attention.
They care.
They notice their regulars.
Over time they’ve: added little extras to my orders given me a $3 credit toward my next meal surprised me with a sweet treat on New Year’s and tonight… my togo packaging included a personalized shout out.
I literally couldn’t stop smiling when I opened it. That kind of service is rare. You can feel the appreciation, and honestly, you can taste the love in the food. That’s the kind of place you stay loyal to. Again, yes, they’re located inside a strip club, but that doesn’t bother me at all , I get delivery anyway. If anything, it’s a bonus because they’re open later than almost any other Hawaiian spot (or restaurant in general). Late-night comfort food? Yes please. That’s actually how I found them in the first place.
Bottom line:
Great food. Big portions. Incredible gravy. Thoughtful service.
