This is our first time ordering from Gibson's through DoorDash, we normally dine there in person. We ordered the Spit Roasted Chicken (Whole) its an Amish chicken served with a heaping order of French fries and a side or BBQ sauce. My house smells delicious!!!! The chicken is so juicy and cooked perfectly! We started eating it right out of the container. It's absolutely the best chicken! So much better than grocery store rotisserie. Packaged thoughtfully in strong plastic containers with lids and the French fries on the side in a bag to help them not get soggy. We will reheat them in airfryer.
Next we ordered the side of coleslaw - it's delicious! It's homemade and crispy with a delicious dressing. It is NOT soggy. This is like my grandmother would make from scratch. Highly recommend to compliment the BBQ chicken.
For dessert we ordered the key lime pie. It's better than Joe's in Miami. It's huge definitely enough for 2 people. Absolutely delicious!!!!
We also ordered an appetzer of filet mignon sliders and a cheeseburger to have leftovers for lunch. All perfectly cooked and delicious! Thank you Gibson's for our lovely delicious dinner.

Skirt steak is always bomb and always cooked how I want it when I select medium rare, it comes medium rare. I personally don't need sides with it, the steak is filling enough. Definitely high quality beef because it doesn't hurt my stomach. The sliders are also good, fries have flavor but don't do so hot in travel, I had to re- air fry mine to get them to a better state.

I finally tried the carrot cake from Gibsons Bar & Steakhouse, and honestly, I don’t get the hype.
Yes, the slice is enormous. TikTok wasn’t exaggerating about that. It’s easily one of the biggest pieces of carrot cake I’ve ever been served. But size doesn’t make up for quality.
The cake itself was surprisingly bland and a little dry, and the cream cheese frosting was so thick and heavy that it became overwhelming after a few bites. The frosting also seemed somewhat dried out, which made me wonder if my slice wasn’t particularly fresh.
For a dessert that costs around $20+, I expected something memorable. Instead, I’ve had much better carrot cake at plenty of other restaurants and bakeries. If you’re ordering it solely because of the viral videos and giant portion size, it delivers on that. If you’re ordering it because you’re looking for exceptional carrot cake, I think there are better options in Chicago.
I would not order this again.

Gold Coast Filet Slider (order of 3) with Fries was missing the fries and one slider was missing the meat! Will not order again, portions were minuscule this time around and not very good. The Spit Roasted Chicken (Half Order) breast and thigh was ok, the leg was dry and the wing was too dried up and inedible. Disappointed with this order, will not be ordering again
