Puerto Rican Spice is hands-down the BEST food in North Port—no contest. If I could give them more than five stars, I would in a heartbeat. Every time I order, it feels like I’m getting a home-cooked meal made with love and serious flavor.
The pernil is absolutely next level—juicy, tender, perfectly seasoned, with that crispy skin that dreams are made of. And don’t even get me started on the yellow rice… it’s rich, savory, and the perfect companion to every bite.
You can taste the passion in every dish. This isn’t just food, it’s comfort, culture, and community all wrapped in a to-go container.
If you haven’t ordered from Puerto Rican Spice yet, do yourself a favor—this is the kind of food that makes you want to dance

Everything tastes fantastic and authentic. My only complaint is that take out portions are small especially for the meat.

First time trying this restaurant. Pork didn't look as inviting as in their photo, but was good (cold, but that's on the driver who had it in his car for 50 minutes!) Pork chunks seemed to actually be pork belly. Was very tasty.
Not enough lime, as I was also squeezing it on the side yuca trying to liven it up a bit. Wish pork had more of the onions too.
Ordered Alcapuria, but sold out, so didn't get to try that. Tho they said they issued a refund and I see it's still on my bill.
Very few empanada options using door dash. They had one! Chicken. Ordered beef. Yep, that's all it said, beef. Was same cost as chicken empanada, so just took a shot at it. Turned out to be a beef empanada. Was also good. However, empanadas were packaged together and unidentified.
We loved the empanadas. Sure wish we could've ordered more of the many varieties they offer!
Will def order again. Probably gonna wait til they give us the ability to order more than just one variety.

The Beef & CheeseMofongo ball was much larger than I expected it to be! A pleasant surprise! Everything is always great!

For the grilled chicken I honestly expect chicken quarters instead of breasts. The rice and chicken were full
Of flavor as expected and had a fresh taste. This is my second time ordering and would most likely order again.
