This is my first time trying this restaurant since it was Szechuan Chef.
The Sichuan Twice Cooked Pork, a dish that many Sichuan style restaurants are judged by, is good: probably not too spice for most folk. A good balance of flavor among the pork, the chiles, and leeks. Bandit Stir-Fried Pork Liver delicious but it is liver and it is spicy.

Ordered Fried Tofu Szechuan Style and Chow Mein . I did not expect the chow mein to be great as its not a Szechuan dish, but it was much worse than expected. Bland, tasteless, a big heap of mostly cabbage, sprouts with some noodles and a few pieces of chicken as an afterthought. The tofu dish looked spicy and flavourful, but it was also bland and not what is expected of a Szechuan restaurant.

If you're hoping this place might be Szechuan Chef reincarnated, you might be slightly disappointed. L10. Mongolian Beef (L) was fairly solid, definitely leans more toward spicy instead of the sweet/spicy balance old Szechuan had. Came with a decent portion of rice as well. Hot and Sour soup was heavy on the white pepper and needed some extra black vinegar to balance it out. Didn't actually receive Egg Roll(Vege)(3), I received the crab rangoons instead, some of which were a bit overcooked. I'd probably try some other dishes next time.

New order, new review. Kidney Slices With Sichuan Pepper admittedly organ meats aren't for everyone; but, for those with the adventurous palate and the intestinal fortitude to try this dish, there is a positive rewand. The kidney slices are mild in flavor and slightly chewy. The peppers add a nice spicy kick of accompaniment. This is a dish for spice lovers who also appreciate organ meats (offal). The next dish I ordered, Stir Fried Chicken Gizzard W/ Picked Cowpeas is another dish that rewards being an adventurous eater, at least by US standards, the chicken gizzards have a mild taste and a pleasantly chewy texture. The chile peppers and the cowpeas provide a pleasant combination of hot and tart that a fan of this type of dish is likely to appreciate. Cumin Lamb is excellent. The chiles, onions, and cumin all combine with lamb to create a tasty combination that supports the taste of the lamb without covering it up. Fried Rice , with chicken is a delicious and mild.

I ordered Braised Beef With Taro And Sichuan Pepper. Authentic flavor, but the portion is rather small.
