Smoked Brisket Plate, brisket was on the dry side and for the price, the portions were small. The rice dressing was good and so was the beans and mac and cheese. 
1/2 Chicken Plate, chicken was good. Plenty meat! The sides are good. 
So i did go a little late and maybe thats why the brisket was dry. Ill definitely try again and come in at opening time!
All and all its definitely authentic BBQ!

Tasty, fresh, good portions; I would order again. I had a whole link of sausage on the bbq plate; it was good quality sausage. The bbq sauce was served on the side, not cooked into the meat, but I was fine with that; the sauce was good, not too tangy, not too sweet. The rice dressing was perfection, very flavorful. The baked beans were excellent! Mac and cheese is actually spaghetti and cheese; I enjoyed it, but I had to add seasoning; I pefer mine with some Creole seasoning and black pepper; the same with the potato salad. I season everything I cook, so I need a bit of Creole seasoning and black pepper in my potato salad, too.  Aside from that, it is very good. I wouldn't take a star away for that, because not everyone seasons their spaghetti and cheese or their potato salad. I was fine to just add that myself. I would not order the red velvet cake again, it wasn't a big enough slice for $6, the cake was dry, needed an extra egg yolk or baked too long, but the icing was delicious.

The sausage was really good and seasoned well. The portions were kinda big. I enjoyed it very much especially the bbq sauce . The mac and cheese was good , the potato salad was a little bland but still enjoyable. I would definitely order again .

Everything this place prepares is awesome. Take your pick and you will be happy and full. Big portions and great seasoning.  I will eat this establishments food weekly. No better value anywhere.
