• 10/21/25I had the steak salad. The amount of salad was astonishingly small and some of it was rotten. Given this is such a cheap ingredient. It seemed very surprising and careless on the part of the restaurant. The steak itself was very good. I also had the carrot cake which was very moist, but the icing did not taste like cream cheese at all it was overly sweet.

• 5/6/26CAJUN SEAFOOD ALFREDO was missing the andouille sausage, could use more sauce, flavor was okay
NEW YORK STRIP got it medium rare and it was dry/tough
NOT YOUR ORDINARY MAC & CHEESE - definitely not ordinary, not in a good way
Disappointed for the money spent.

• 5/20/26Ugh! We want to love this place so bad because they are clearly a Houston's competitor but they miss the mark almost every time! Once I ordered a burger and it had bone and a huge piece of gristle in the middle! This time we ordered the steak taco and it was assembled like a kid made it not to mention the quality of the meat was horrible. My husbands salad said no chicken (called to confirm) and they still put chicken. Hard to mess up a salad but they did. We called and the Manager was nasty and indifferent. Wanted them to be great but it's consistently 2/5 or less every time.

• 5/9/26I have been to other J Alexanders tgat are great but this is a sad, sad rip off. Food quality, meh. Portions? Ridiculously small. NOT WORTH IT! Too expensive for delivering crap. Don't waste your time or money.
